Day 6: A Prosperous You is a Process

DAY 6 |

Psalm 1:3 (NKJV)

He shall be like a tree

Planted by the [a]rivers of water,

That brings forth its fruit in its season,

Whose leaf also shall not wither;

And whatever he does shall prosper.

Rome was not built in a day; A TREE DOESN’T GROW OVERNIGHT; Neither do we arrive at who we are meant to be overnight. Entering into levels of a prosperous life is a process. A seed goes through various seasons and processes to stand at the strength and height we see in the tree. After the seed stands as a tree, it continues to grow higher never stopping. If you choose to trust God in this journey, He will bring you through the process of highs and lows to better and better.

We can not go around the process or take a short cut, we are required to go THROUGH the process to prosper. Think about what the tree goes through when it is planted and later bears fruit. It can be painful, dark, uncertain and take time, but it will become what it is expected to be. Don’t be so focus on the promise that you negate the process that will deliver you there. Psalms 1:3 states your promise, that through the process is a success!

CHALLENGE, PRAYER OR FAST | Go outside to a park and look at a tree. Think about the process a tree goes through to become what you see – the seed gets planted, dies in the darkness of the dirt, takes root before you see results, grows and transforms into more. Think about the pruning it goes through to bear more life and fruit. Seek God. Ask God to allow your perspective to shift into His understanding of where He has you or desires you to be in. Remember there is a reason for the process so settle in and become.
