Day 26: New Norms

by | Devotions

DAY 26
Romans 12:2 (NIV)
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.
New norms require a new mindset. In Partnership with God, we are guided from our old patterns and ways to new ways and higher-level thinking. It is important to allow God to teach you how to come into the will He has for you. It may differ from the social norms of the world around us. Be patient with yourself and dedicated to finishing the process of testing.
God is approving and settling you. Be willing to go beyond what you and the world had in mind. In doing so you will prosper in your new norm.
CHALLENGE, PRAYER OR FAST | New Norm Fast – It is a 3 day Fast where you let go of one thing for 3 days. The thing you choose to fast should represent something you always do that might be keeping you from doing/ thinking of something new. – (ex. social media, or food types…) Replace it with prayer, scripture and seeking God. During this time, identify a new norm God is calling you to enter into. Higher levels require an improved you. Identify the shifts necessary to enter into the new norm. Apply the shifts starting with changing your mind to think higher. You may not be perfect at first but continue to exercise yourself to be able to stand in the new norm.
